Meet the Leadership Team
With a strong background in Fintech, Anna-Carina is an expert in transforming B2B business models, including new digital products. At her previous company, she was responsible for building digital payment products for businesses in Europe, India, and Asia. She also created and drove the consulting portfolio and team for digital transformation & innovation projects at AdEx Partners. Her team received the prestigious “Consulting for Digital Transformation” Award. Since 2019 she has been focused on building up apinity and turning APIs into first class citizens of the business & operations of 21st century companies.
David holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Antwerp, an executive MBA from IE Business School, and has a background in telecommunication engineering at the University of Vigo. David has worked in star programs for large high-tech organizations (Motorola, Freescale, TI, Nokia, HERE), has delivered industrial software and electronics for a regulated industry (Knorr-Bremse Railway), and has successfully led the growth phase of a German start-up in fintech (smava). Since 2019 he has been focused on building up apinity and turning APIs into first class citizens of the business & operations of 21st century companies.
Our Story
apinity was launched in spring 2018 as “Syncier Marketplace”, and was embedded in a high-potential incubator program of Allianz SE Insurance Group.
David Vazquez Cortizo and Anna-Carina Häusler joined in 2019 and began creating a sustainable business and development team that deeply identifies with the company’s values, vision, and mission.
A customer-centric approach and endless passion enabled the team to develop the API marketplace into a successful SaaS platform for business operations in a short period of time. In 2022, Munich RE decided to take over this promising API business innovation unit from Allianz SE and establish it as a full independent subsidiary.
And thus, apinity was born.
